Crystal of the day: Rose quartz (Friday), Snowflake obsidian (Saturday), Citrine (Sunday)
Lunar phase: Full Moon eclipse in Aquarius (Blood Moon) 21:20 BST
Happy Aquarius Full Moon eclipse, my friends! It’s the longest of the century, apparently and the red hue of the eclipse Blood Moon will be visible for a long time for those of us lucky enough to get clear skies. Sadly, I don’t believe that will be the case here tonight… but fingers crossed! Even if you can’t see Luna in all her ruby splendour, you can still give the eclipse Tarot spread a whirl!
Interestingly none of the Tarot cards today are from they Major Arcana (spiritual lessons), which you might expect on such a fateful day. What we see here is that the eclipse energy brings a strong focus on relating and gaining clarity about our own role in the circles we move in.
The central card theme card, 7 of Cups + the 3 of Wands, takes us into a process of weeding out which relationships are both productive and mutually beneficial. We become aware of patterns of relating that keep us stuck and stagnant. This awareness will come in three different forms, as represented by the three court cards present.
The Queen of Pentacles make us question if our relationships are truly nurturing. The King of Cups has us looking at empathy and compassion with our relationships and the Page of Swords basically makes us curious about the dynamic we have created in all relationships. The energy of the Page can be quite unsettling but it is necessary for future emotional freedom, especially if some of the relationships we find ourselves in are co-dependent.
The guidance from the realm of the Unicorns is to firmly set the intent for what kind of relationships we wish to have. Imagine them vividly and then go about as if this reality is already manifest. Treat others how you want to be treated. Put firm personal boundaries in place. Seek out relationships that are nurturing and filled with compassion. This will make any other types of relationships gradually begin to fall away.
We are entering a great period of clearing out this weekend and this is a process that will continue over the next couple of weeks. It will not be easy because it will require us to let go of the ‘better the devil you know’ attitude that we may not even have been aware of…
