There are certain half-dreaming moods of mind in which we naturally steal away from noise and glare, and seek some quiet haunt where we may indulge our reveries and build our air castles undisturbed.

Happy Hump Day, my friends! Sorry for posting late today. I had to be somewhere this morning. Hope you are well and enjoying this Waning Moon Week.
These two cards form a strong message about getting some down time to nurture our emotions and intuition. Feel free to log off now and turn your phone off! Or read on, if you prefer… 🙂
The Angelic correspondence for the 4 of Cups is Archangel Gabriel, ruler of both the Moon and the zodiac sign Cancer. Archangel Gabriel is also one of the Archangelic guardians of the four cardinal directions. He rules the West and the Element of Water.
Gabriel means ‘God is my strength’ and he and Archangel Michael are the two highest ranking Archangels. Also, he is the only other angel besides Archangel Michael who is mentioned in the Old Testament. Archangel Mohammed claims that it was AA Gabriel who dictated the Qu’ran to him. Gabriel is also known as the angel who brought the virgin Mary glad tidings and the one who instructed Joan of Arc to seek help from the King of France.
Archangel Gabriel can help us when we feel apathetic or a bit hopeless. He brings us strength and inspiration. When the 4 of Cups shows up, we could be feeling bored or even close to tears because ‘reality’ is letting us down. Calling on Archangel Gabriel’s assistance helps us turn things around and begin imagining how we want reality to be. He restores our prophetic vision as well as our strength, so that we can get back to work with renewed vigour.
