God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Physical changes are taking place over which we feel we have little control. This involves family matters, health and finances today. While we are still expected to act responsibly and do what we can to ensure future stability, good health and prosperity, there are some aspects that we simply have to patiently surrender.
Today is one of those days when the Tarot is uncannily mirroring back to me what is happening right here and now on the physical plane. There are changes to the structure of my own family constellation as well as finance in a legally binding sense. These changes involve children and the sadness that comes with the last of my three living children leaving the nest.
I was chatting with my sister who is one year younger than me and thus in a similar position. Not only is everything around us starting to shift with our children turning into young adults but our own bodies are being prepared for the crone phase, whether we like it or not. Personally, I quite like the silver in my hair but yeah, the thought of growing old is not always easy to entertain.
There is a continuation in the Oracle of the Unicorns ‘Patience’ card from yesterday’s post where The Hanged Man also gave us a theme of patience. Today the physical changes are speeding up (2 of Pentacles) and we have to work hard to stay in harmony (Justice), especially where children and family matters are concerned (Page + 10 of Cups) are concerned.
The patience required today is with our own emotions (5 of Cups) which may be brimming with sadness and/or feelings of loss and regret.
The 5 of Cups is such an excellent reminder of our ability to choose a new focus today. This is where the energy is truly starting to shift away from the Hanged Man space where choices is completely out of our hands. With the 5 of Cups, we can choose to either focus on the cups that have fallen over or that one cup that is still standing, filled to the brim that make life worth living.
Regeneration becomes possible… and what better way to alter our perception than to create an altar for the intent that we were guided cling to in yesterday’s reading?

Maybe you already have an altar but it has been gathering dust and the symbols you placed on it no longer helps keep the divine fire smouldering in your heart…? Maybe it’s time to alter your altar so that your altar can alter you?
What is weighing you down? What do you need to surrender at your altar today? What items that help inspire you to stay focused on your path & purpose can you place on your altar?“Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results.” — Willie Nelson Click To Tweet
